It seems that you don't read my answers. Visit the HHL page and read the entry requirements section!

          i did.
and ive already got replies from HEC paris via mails too.
Hec says a 700 gmat should be targeted.
but HLL doesnt clearly state a score.
it says 600 is fine which i dont think will be since its ranked 6th or 7th in overall Mim ranking.
i inquire a lot sir maybe i am jus bad at putting my queries to you.

          • Posted by - Thomas Graf - on 10 September 2015 - 11:36am

If HHL says that 600 is fine that 600 is fine. This means that a GMAT with 600 will not kick you out. If you still get recjected than for other reasons.

                Have you read the FAQs...?
                http://www.hhl.de/en/programme/vollzeit-msc-programm/#9

*"Though students do not have to speak German in the M.Sc. Program at HHL, solid language skills are a major benefit when looking for an internship or a job in Germany and Europe.

HHL offers German language classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced speakers."*

Ever thought about asking the HHL directly instead of asking here?
Seen that Annegret Zettler from HHL is at your disposal on the HHL MIM page?

"Do you wish a personal consultation?

          Hi there,

I am sorry but your question is too broad. The general answer would be: The higher the better. The higher your grade the better. The higher your GMAT the better.

But this depends on the school and program you are looking for. If you find out that your ideal program does not require the GMAT at all, the "the higher the better" does not apply for you. If the program on your short list has a holistic approach where the grade plays only a minor role and other assets in your CV are equally or more important (e.g., activities at your university, internships etc.) then again "the higher the better" does not count.

The key question for you is: What sort of program are your looking for? How should your ideal Master look like so that you achieve your career goals? And which schools offer such a Master so that you have 5 or 7 schools on your final list.

Again: This is where my MIM eBook comes into play. If you want quick but superficial answers, don't buy it. If you want a serious approach to your future education, then invest the few Dollars and take a day or 2 to read it carefully. Then use the ideas from the book to (1) reflect your career goals, (2) specifiy your target programs or ideal Master, and (3) start investigating programs in the real world (using the search tools that I provide in my book).

Based on that, you see their entry requirements - e.g., GMAT or Grade - and you know what you should do in the next year.

Finally, you may be interested to read my new eBook on MIM Entry Requirements that will be published soon.

            thanks alot sir.
            maybe ill buy it.
but ive seen you assess profiles of people n thats what i want
actually mim n similiar courses r not very popular or known in India.
n as far as ive seen, best Mim colleges include St.Galleen,HEC Paris etc.
what improvements do i need in my profile?
i js want to get into the Best colleges n earn well as ill b goin out on education loan.
i hope that will help you answer it a bit precislely

              Hi there,

I give you my honest opinion: I think you have not understood the concept of Masters in Management so far. That's why I recommend you to read my eBook. It is not about buying an eBook - it is about learning and a better understanding. Personally, I don't care if I earn 3 Dollars more or less. But I want you to do your homework first before we go into deeper questions. And so far you have not done your homework - otherwise your questions would be different.

Regarding your TOEFL question: Please visit some MIM websites and read the respective Entry Requirements pages. You will find out that the answer is Yes: You need to prove your English capabilities.

Regarding your GMAT question: As outlined in my eBook and also in my MIM Survey, not every MIM program requires the GMAT. Some do not. Some do but offer alternative test at the same time. If you decide for a MIM program that requires the GMAT you find good programs where 550 is sufficient (e.g., the HHL Leipzig). But in general, a threshold is 600. And very selective MIM programs such as the ones you mentioned (e.g., HEC, LBS) have 680 or 700 on average - here 640 or so would be considered as minimum and you should even target 700.

Regarding your statement on "best colleges": How do you know that HEC or St Gallen are best colleges for you? Yes, they are very selective and top-ranked in the FT Ranking. But how do you know that they are the optimal programs for you? What if you want to become an investment manager and no investment firm comes to the campus to recruit? Maybe a cheaper school is better suited for yoyur career goals. In my eBook, I follow a different approach. First analyze your own goals - following my frameworks - and specify how your ideal master should look like. THEN, and ONLY THEN, identify your target programs.

Regarding your question on improvements in your profile: Logically, this depends on your target programs. If HEC or ST Gallen are your target programs... well, have you read the entry requirement pages already? Here you see how important the final grade may be and whether the school asks for the GMAT or not. In my eBook I also give some tips on how to find out about minimum or average GMAT scores that a program has so that you can orient yourserf. If your target school will be IE - another top ten school - you may not need the GMAt at all and you should rather improve your CV by doing an internship. It all depends on what you want and what you target.

I understand that posting quick questions such as "Sir, tell me the best colleges?" or "What shall I do?" are very popular and a quick and simple answer form my side would be most welcome. But this is not how you receive your best result. You need to get your hands "dirty" yourself by investing an effort and learning about the area of Masters in Management yourself. How can you do it?

              1. Read my MIM eBook thoroughly and think about it.
              2. Read my Global MIM Survey
              3. Follow the recommendation in my MIM eBook chapter SOURCES OF INFORMATION

Based on this, we can continue in your approach to a Master. If you don't want to invest this effort, however, and prefer quick but superficial answers then I may be the wrong person.

              Best wishes
              Thomas
