Description

The Master in Finance Program at WHU is a consecutive science program, which addresses applicants holding an undergraduate degree in a business-related field of study. The program, which takes between 17 and 21 months, starts each year in September. Language of instruction is English.

Students are required to choose 11 modules (5 credit each). A minimum of eight modules must be taken from the Master in Finance Program. Up to three modules are available from the Master in Management Program. The choice of finance modules is wide and covers key financial issues. The program offers two different tracks: a 90 ECTS track for a period of 17 months and a 120 ECTS track for a period of 21 months.

Application Procedure

For the Master in Finance Program, we seek Bachelor graduates with a degree in a business-related field of study, as well as graduates from STEM subjects with a strong quantitative background and first experience in finance-related areas, e.g. through electives, their thesis, CFA, or practical exposure.

This program is open to candidates with a maximum of about 4 years of post-graduate work experience.

Admission requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with at least 180 ECTS
  • At least 12 weeks of relevant practical experience
  • Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS)
  • Proof of strong analytical and quantitative skills (GMAT/GRE/TM-BASE)
  • International experience of about 3 months
  • Successful completion of WHU admission process
