Interview: Why study a Master in Management not included in the Financial Times Ranking?

The Financial Times Master in Management Ranking 2010 lists 65 MiM programs. These programs are ranked according to criteria such as the salary and job position of Master in Management graduates some years after their graduation. Since this is the only ranking for Master in Management programs so far it provides potential future students with valuable information about program quality.

The Master in International Management of the IE Business School is not included in this ranking. This is suprising as the IE achieves top positions in many other rankings, for example the FT European Business School Ranking (number 5) or the FT Global MBA Ranking (number 6 worldwide).

We spoke with Dr. Martin Boehm, Associate Dean of the Master in Management Programs and Professor of Marketing at IE Business School. In the interview he explains why the IE Master in International Management is (still) not in the FT Master in Management Ranking and why it may nevertheless make sense to study that MiM program.
