Very low GPA! Please help!!

    Hello Thomas,

Im a student from India with a 61% (6.1 GPA) from healthcare background, with no work experience.
at first I wanted to do an MBA and then as I do not have enough work experience required. I decided to do MIM from top b-school and started working on the GMAT & got a score of 650. I cannot retake my GMAT. Does it make any difference if I also take IEgat?
Just now i got to know that a good GPA is very essential to secure an admission in the b schools like HEC, CEMS, IE or even thunderbird.
I am really worried that I may have to drop my idea of studying MIM at top B schools.
Do you know any B schools for which I stand a chance of getting an admission?

Any kind of advice would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks again.

      Hi there,

first of all, I recommend you to read my MIM eBook already? I suggest that you do this first (and thoroughly). It will teach you the fundamental knowledge about Masters in Management (MIM) and also provides you with a methodology how to identify quality programs, compare programs, and finally identify programs that fit your profile.

As for your GMAT, I don't see any need to re-do it. 650 is great.

As for your grades: It is true that you probably won't get in some schools such as CEMS or HEC. But what's the problem with that...? Not everyone can go to Harvard. There are many good and even very good schools out there where you can try it with a realistic chance. Spontaneoulsy, I think of IE Business School or Hult - but there may be more who do not overemphasize grades. Read my eBook and apply the methodology.

      Best wishes
      Thomas
