Scope of MIM

Hello Thomas,
I am Sri from India. In recent past I got to know about the MIM program. I am planning to take GMAT during early 2016. I am presently working at Amazon.com (India). I wanted to know how MIM can boost my career in business. Waiting for your response.

Hi there,
thank you for your question. How can a Master in Management positively influence your career?
Well, first of all, you learn something. I am aware that many people speak about salary etc. - but the underlying condition is that a Master enables you to do your job better or to do another job (and maybe a better paid job) than before.
In my eBook "Business Masters" you see that there are different types of Masters in Management (MIM): So, you need to ask yourself what you want to learn and what type of MIM is the best for you so that you achieve your career goals (e.g., at amazon or in a different company that you have on your target list).
Second, a Master such as the Master in Management can help you careerwise because of the school's network with employers. You need to find out, however, how good this network is and if firms come to campus thatt you are interested in. Again, read my Business Masters eBook, in this case the chapter on ANALYZE PROGRAMS.
Also, keep in mind that a MIM is different from an MBA such that it is for graduates or people with less than a year of work experience.
